Haywood Road Form-Based Code

The City of Asheville recently funded a pilot project to prepare the City’s first charrette-driven form-based code. Haywood Road in West Asheville was selected as the most appropriate place for this first code. The market had recently revitalized many of the existing buildings in the corridor, and it was expected that future new development activity would follow. Learn more »

Midtown Master Plan and Code

Code Studio, in coordination with Cooper Consulting, prepared a master plan for Midtown area of Hattiesburg, followed by a new form-based code implementing the plan. Learn more »

On behalf of the Town of Malta, Code Studio prepared a form-based code for the downtown area. Based on a charrette held to refine the downtown master plan, Code Studio, in conjunction with Ted Brovitz and Fuss & O’Neill, prepared new building form standards and a complete streets plan. Model Sustainability Code

As part of HUD’s recent sustainability grants, a four-county area south and west of Yellowstone National Park is committed to grow more sustainably. Berry/University Form-Based Code

Code Studio is leading a team that is creating a development plan and form-based code for West Berry Street. The Berry/University Development Plan, in conjunction with a parallel stormwater study being conducted by Halff Associates, will address extensive flooding in the area as well as improving development patterns to better support future transportation options. Main Street/Court Street Form-Based Code

In 2011 Binghamton was awarded a Community Challenge Planning Grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development to develop an update to the comprehensive plan and a form-based code for the 4.86 mile Main Street – Court Street Corridor. Learn more »

Downtown Plan and Code

Code Studio was selected by the State of New Mexico to provide consulting services through their Livability Innovation Fund to prepare a downtown plan and code for the City of Portales. The project included a week-long public participation design charrette with Third Coast Design Studio and Urban Advantage. Milwaukee Avenue Corridor Plan

Code Studio led a team of consultants in the preparation of a corridor plan for Milwaukee Avenue for the Village of Glenview. Using a public participation charrette, the team generated a new future land use concept for the sites adjacent to the corridor. Learn more »

Town Center Form-Based Code
