Kunth is the newest intern in our Austin office! He is currently pursuing a Master’s in Urban Design at the University of Texas at Austin. Originally from Mumbai, India, Kunth comes with a background in architecture and sociology. As a student and a professional, Kunth has striven to design environmentally sensitive, inclusive spaces and has come to see urban design as an effective democratic tool of social change that lies at the intersection of architecture, planning, and landscape design. His approach to design is informed by his experience collaborating with communities with diverse socio-economic backgrounds, with a keen focus on fostering resilience.

Kunth has worked on multi-scalar projects in interdisciplinary teams for clients, developers, and the city. Here, he saw first-hand the inadequacy of providing quality urban spaces, sustainable design, and an inequitable distribution of resources, prompting him to get a degree in urban design. Kunth is enthusiastic about traveling, exploring new landscapes, and hiking in his spare time.
